Susan Heck

Senior HR Consultant

Susan Heck joined JHR in late 2025 as a Sr. Human Resources Consultant. With over 3 decades of experience of leadership, within multiple industries, she brings a diverse set of skills in all areas of Human Resources. She brings both her analytical and creative strengths to support the needs of the businesses she supports.

She thinks of herself as a strategic generalist who continues to learn something new from everyone in the businesses she supports. Balancing a diverse set of skills across all HR Functions and payroll while keeping legal and operational compliance at the forefront. Over her career she has worked with all levels of the business to help develop and drive compliant, respectful environments within businesses. As a generalist she has expertise in both the tactical and strategic side of Human Resources and how they work together. Her expertise includes employee relations, policy and procedure development, training, investigations, payroll, benefits, health, and safety.

She is a self-proclaimed “educationaholic” who is passionate about continuous learning, process improvements, training, and mentorship. Leveraging new opportunities – particularly technology – to coordinate the strategic goals of the business.

When she is not working, she is focused on her passions: family and friends (her ultimate “happy place”), art and the beach. She uses her artistic side to balance the demands of her business roles and the beach to allow her to unwind and recharge.
