JHR: 1984 – Present
JorgensenHR (JHR) was created and built in 1984 on a vision of our founder, Karen Jorgensen, who saw the need to provide high level human resources support to businesses. She built a team that does just that. JorgensenHR is a boutique human resources consulting firm supporting small to mid-size businesses with our “BestProducts” to include onsite support and virtual support with Outsourced HR, HR Assessments, Affirmative Action Plans, Training, Employee Harassment Hotline, and Workplace Investigations.
In 1998, Linda M. Harris, began working with Karen, becoming a Partner, President, and subsequently purchasing the business from Karen in 2003, when Karen retired. Linda has over 40 years of human resources experience including 20 years as Vice President of Human Resources at Coast Savings Bank. In addition to her human resources background, Linda is a California Licensed Private Investigator (Lic #23947) specializing in Workplace Investigations. As part of a strategic move, she sold JorgensenHR in 2019 to Barry Cohn, Renee Cohn, and Lloyd Ettinger. With their strong background in employee benefits working with hundreds of companies, this purchase allowed the JorgensenHR to expand into the benefits market and enabled it to focus on growth, expansion, and HR technology solutions.
Barry Cohn, Renee Cohn and Lloyd Ettinger continue the mission of JorgensenHR, to “Provide the BestHR Solutions to Management.” Understanding that each client requires a unique solution to create a better result for the owners, management, as well as employees. JorgensenHR delivers win-win solutions to businesses in a variety of industries and continues to develop and implement those unique solutions.
JHR: The Vision
The name, mission and values remain unchanged as JorgensenHR’s “brand” continues to be recognized throughout California and nationally. The consulting team at JorgensenHR consists of high-level human resources professionals who have served as HR directors, HR managers and Chief HR Officers in corporate and non-profit organizations. They are current or past members of highly recognized professional associations such as SHRM, PIHRA and NHRA.
Our HR consultants are caring, patient, and provide human resources with the objective of having a positive impact in today’s evolving work environment. They understand the importance of internal values, relationships, and company missions. Each of our senior consultants has over 20 years of human resources experience in a variety of industries, offering a unique gift of commitment for the outcome of the projects they undertake.
