JorgensenHR (JHR) announced today the acquisition of the business operations of Strategies for Human Resources (S4HR). JHR will acquire the S4HR assets, employees, and clients. JHR, a 38 year-old HR consulting firm, headquartered in Santa Clarita, and S4HR a 23-year-old Ventura County HR consulting firm are joining forces to better serve the needs of businesses.
“S4HR offers an exciting opportunity for JHR to strengthen and expand our HR service offerings.” explains Barry Cohn. “With a range of clients, the acquisition of S4HR supports JHR’s strategy to lead the market and meet the future requirements for small and medium size companies in human resources. S4HR will allow JHR to offer its employment law firms another resource to calculate meal, rest break penalties and wage and hour payments. S4HR clients will have access to JHR’s Harassment Hotline, BestPartner and Affirmative Action Plan solutions.”

The move to acquire S4HR stems from Karen Martin’s desire to retire and spend more time with her family in Arizona, where she resides. Barry Cohn, CEO, of JHR and Karen Martin President of S4HR have known each other for 20 years and participated in the Professionals in Human Resources Association (PIHRA) Woodland Hills Chapter and ProVisors.
